DOA's from Mcmurray

I just got Two orders in from mcmurray, one order had about 35 chickens of my choosing in which only abput 25 arrived alive. The other order contained 50 cockerels on which only about 10 survived. What should i do get another batch or get a refund? help im not sure which to choose.

Oh no! I'm so sorry that must have been so tramatic and horrible for you! I suppose it all depends on what you want to do... I would completely understand if you just wanted to get a refund and not have to worry about something like that happening again and just keep the ones that survived. Or just get replacements for the ones that were lost. I hope everything works out and I'm sorry for your loss!

How many chicks did you really want?

If you wanted to have all those chicks then ask for them to reship enough to make up for the ones DOA. The weather will be better on the reship.

If you were just having a spell of spring fever when you placed the order, ask them for a refund on the poor DOA chicks (and part of your shipping, if you paid any)

IMO if I had the room I would take a chance at replacing them. But I ordered from McMurray the first time I ever ordered chicks and got Top hat special and I lost 22 of 26 They sent me another order out the next week and all of them made it. So it is really up to you wether you would be willing to take the risk. I am sorry about your lose though. :"(

I just got mine this am and 26 of 26 were all alive, they were shipped Sat. and arrived this morning so they were shipped quickly, that's to the UPS which I never had a lot of confidence in. but that doesn' mean they will all live, but so far so good, I bet it was a weather, time to get there thing, I am really sorry.
