i hated rose, she was too whiney for me..... and i agree with you on the Rory side of the spectrum, the poor guy, never gets a happy ending.....

rose deserved to die... i sound so mean but she is a wimp! i loved Rory!!!!! i can't ever go to NY after the episode.

The one thing that drives me crazy about DW is the fact that they don't let the companions save the Doctor. It's always the other way around. I mean, what Rose did was pretty awesome. Why can't more recent companions do something like that?

That was Clara's Great Purpose. She was all throughout space and time to save him.
The entire universe relied on Donna turning, uh, left was it? Plus she went all Time Lord and was the Doctor's equal for like ten minutes.
River Song gave her regen to him to save his life.
Amy convinced him he was a space whale.
Martha went cruising around saving everyone while the Doctor was old.

hey thats just how I feel. not saying she was terrible just saying I didn't like the way she handled things. she also stayed the companion FOREVER and I got sick of her

Okay, that's all right then.
Technically, I think Amy was a companion longer than Rose was. But I guess Rose has continued to show up occasionally whereas Amy is pretty much gone, so it evens out.
