All the numbers are mixed uo now with the 'War Doctor'.

War Doctor, John Hurt is /technically/ 9
Eccleston is now 10, with Tennant as 11 and Smith as 12.

But the BCC is sticking with the original numbering and Hurt is just...there.

I think they were trying to clarify who you meant as nine and ten.

Sure is confusing these days. I just stick with the pre-John Hurt numbering system, because it's simpler. He's the War Doctor, so it basically works.

But I like how they finally explained what happened in the war.

Yeah, I like having more details for the War. I like the War Doctor. He was so wonderfully grouchy and down-to Earth, and his attitude toward Ten and Eleven was so much fun. I'm not a fan of the way Nine's story arc was changed though, and I doubt I ever will be.
