Does a Broody khaki campbell know bad eggs fron good?

She is about a year an a half old an not the dominant girl of 5...I've never had one go broody before an the nest she choose was hidden in an seperate coop from them where they got loose one night an payed a nest without me knowing so it was unattended for days...they got loose again an I found her sittting on them an laying new eggs too!!!she has built a beautiful nest with down included...So my question is will she kick out bad eggs or do I need to candle the older ones ? HELP!!!!

You need to candle, they will sometimes kick out eggs but do they know which are bad? no way of knowing for sure. When ducklings hatch she will eventually get up and leave unhatched eggs but that because she needs to care for her babies. and please make sure she is in a safe place, because we just had a member lose one of her Muscovy ducks to a predator because she was sitting where she wasn't safe. Sitting duck means free dinner to predators. Let us know what you find when you candle.

I have two seperate coop yards and the gate between them keeps opening they like the chicken yard I guess...lol but I will candle the older eggs are at 14 days so tonight ill try to get them done wish me luck she's fisty lol

Most of them are when they go broody.
