Does a Hen need a Rooster to Lay Eggs??

Audrey... I have been around Chickens most of my life... but truthfully, you wouldn't believe the people that think you need a rooster in order for your hens to lay eggs.. : ) Thank you for the welcome.. I love this place..
 
I just LOVE my Girls... 4 out of 6 have started laying since The 18th of Aug. ...Hoping the other 2 will follow soon.. they are 20 weeks old today, Aug. 28th 2012
