Because it was due to hatch almost 2 weeks ago. The other 4 eggs were taken
by people or predators although we found no shell and the nest was not upset.

Last year i had a mandarin sit on her eggs that were bad for along time till i took them.

My mute swan will break and eat the rotten eggs shell and all . I have witnessed this with my own eyes . I wanted to know what she was doing so I watched for a wile . The eggs she broke were rotten . These two swans are both over 20 years old . Swanita is 22 years old the fertility starts to drop .
