My wife watches that show.
Well, to me it is the " GONG SHOW " all over again.
Except there is no Gene Gene the DANCIN MACHINE!

My family enjoys watching this for the occasional Cinderella story- it's really sad to see the disappointment on the faces of those who don't know they lack talent, and generally the judges aren't cruel, so it's not so bad.

We enjoy some of the novel stuff.

the chicken catcher was prety good. i also like the grocery store clerk doing the moonwalk

I am stuck in a Time warp in the 70's, and like it!
I'll you ladies enjoy todays Gong Show.
Give me Gene Gene
I might name my next Roo Gene Gene the Dancin Machine

I've got some Gene for you!!!

My husband described him even down to the hat and color he was wearing!

My only question is whether it's even possible that the host wasn't on drugs...

There was a show some years ago stating they thought he was a Hit Man!

That crazy man wrote a memoir declaring that for himself...I'd link to it, but couldn't find a discussion regarding it that was family friendly.

I love watching the show, but at times I find it really hard. I can't even watch at times. Whenever I watch a talent show like American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent, etc, its really hard for me to see someone who truely thinks they are good and has no idea they aren't. At times you can really tell their heart is in it, and when the judges tell them they are bad, or when the audience is rude, you can tell it really hurts them.

What is with the audience this season? They are the RUDEST people I've ever seen. It actually makes me sad to see how hurt some of the contestants are because of their often uncalled for booing and screaming. They were never like that in the past.

PS: I LOVE Nick Cannon as the host! He is HILARIOUS and half the time I watch the show just to see what he will be doing. I was never a fan of his before, and had never watched any of his movies, but he's funny! I can't believe they ever though Jerry Spring and Regis were that good, I didn't find them funny. However, I did find them a little too old for the audience this show appeals to.
