Hey

I have been looking out for bali ducks, also known as Crested Runner Ducks.
None of the local breeders have them in my area and I can't find a direct site for eggs or the ducks themselves.
Does anyone know if there are Bali ducks sold in Australia?

Through my contacts at various poultry clubs and contacting numerous waterfowl breeders I found Crested Indian Runners are fairly rare in Australia - Especially in comparison to the States. I have seen numerous pics on this web site alone and know that they can be purchased from hatcheries as well. I have been trying to locate some for a time myself. I know of 2 that were for sale in January but couldnt get to the Auction at that time as it was in Albury. I only know of one breeder in Victoria and 1 in NSW but there are a few others around that do keep them however the breeding and quality of those I do not know about.

Did you have a particular colour in mind?

No, the indian runner breeder I talked to said it was hard to get them.
I thought it might be easier to obtain eggs, but....

You are so young...You have plenty of time to breed your own line.
I will be at a breeders auction weekend after next- I will ask around down there in Geelong as there used to be a breeder down there as well. He sold almost all his birds nearly a year ago.... But there could still be some of his around the district.
