I'm reading up on doing Mendhi Henna tattoos. I like the idea of body art. I don't like needles! And Henna is usually done on the hands and feet and is quite pretty! It's also temporary

When we get them, let's post pictures. The artist is just sketching some ideas right now so it will be about 3 weeks before I actually get it done.

i got 2 designs a fellow byc'er drew up for me one is of a silkie the other of a showgirl.

i haven't got them yet have to figure out where i want them first. i have about 9 tats so i need to figure out where i got room,lol.

i'm hopeing most of them will be done in black and grey with only a little color for highlights to make them more real looking as tats. kinda like portraits of my chooks if that makes sence. it will be a bit but will post pics when i get them done.

Your concept sounds beautiful - can't wait to see them! This is very exciting! I was reading somewhere online that sailors would get chicken tattoos because they represented survival & luck...frequently, during shipwrecks, the chickens would be the ones to make it to sure...alive!

One of my Drill Sgt's had a rooster on his calf in a noose....
It was beautiful but not exactly done because he liked birds. I was one of the first to notice it and couldn't help but say something. I did a lot of push-ups that day. lol
