Does anybody have mimosa seeds?

I am looking for some mimosa seeds! I had about 15 sent to me in just a normal envelope last year. Everyone of them sprouted but I sprouted them way too early and all but on died... So now I'm wandering if anyone has mimosa seeds that they would be willing to send me?

I got some last year to and put them up so i would not lose them....guess what? I lost them.....

yes mimosa tree seeds!

and the seeds are in the sweet-pea like pods that form where the flowers were. The pods are supposed to crack open and the seeds fall out but you can collect the seeds before the pods open. And pdsavage, I wish you wouldn't have lost them!

Maybe they would not be so that far north, but mimosa trees are a danged nuisance here in Florida. They spread all over the place and are hard to get rid of. If one of them manages to grow large the wood is weak and prone to breakage. I wouldn't plant them on my property.

We have mimosa trees here. I can probably get some seeds off of our 2 mimosas for anyone who wants them. I will post them when I collect the seeds.

I will also have mimose tree seeds soon! Here is a picture of the leaves and blooms, in case some have not seen the tree.

Not a nuisance here but they do pop up some places where the seeds have dropped...i have potted some and gave them to friends.
