Does anybody know the rules for backyard ducks and chickens in Putnam county Georgia ?

It seems from the code that fowl are allowed; however, you might want to call the county to make sure.

Thank you , we have had ducks and chickens for about 9 years now . They belong to my kids and now the neighbors sold and new ones come in and he don’t like them . Code guy came out and said only domesticated animals , in our zone. So I’m trying to figure it out especially since my youngest has autism .

It just sounds to me like their county code says you can have chickens, you just can't let them run free. So if some guy comes out and says not in your zone, I guess I'd ask to see that in writing. If he produces it, find out how to appeal it or get grandfathered in.
