Does anybody make money with their quail?

A friend manages the chic bistro in town (the rest is Denny's and chain joints) and we'd talked about the restruant ordering some quail later as a special menu item. She's the same one who told me chicken fried steak isn't a southern way to say "chicken fingers"

So we looked up how to do it. Last year they ordered a handful of piel de sappo melons and did a melon and pruschuttio dish that was amazing, and I keep them in mint and meyer lemons (both of which I have way too much of).

Exactly, I don't run against state rules that way, but there could be county ordinances that outlaw that, so cover your tush before trying it (at this point I've not done it myself, just looked into how to do it "right").

well for here to be able to sell to restaraunts or at trade shows or flea markets or to do hatchery service you have to get the texas a&m people out here to inspect your flock for typhoid pullorium etc. when yiou do so you get your certificate and npip id number. your certificate is depended upon what you want to do. they have one for anything it seems. to process you have to have the health inspectors check your facilities and pay for the lice

The only income I have had so far on my quail is selling the eggs to snake owners. There are certain breeds of snakes that only eat eggs. This is quite profitable if you can find someone with a snake that needs food.
