I have Golden & Silver Lakenvelders. My Goldens are too young to lay yet. My Silvers are both roos, but more females on order. I had Anconas & really liked them, but I guess something liked them better. They were Got by a predator. I will order more. They are smaller birds, with smaller white eggs, but BEAUTIFUL chickens.

I have a Gold Laced Wyandotte. She is one of the friendliest birds in my flock. She is also the best looking bird in the flock. I believe I am getting about 5 large eggs from her a week. I am getting another one this year.

I had 2 Black Australorps. I did not care for them and got rid of them last weekend. They were VERY noisy and not friendly. They were only laying an occasional egg. I know most people here on BYC love them and have great luck. I have talked to several other people that live near me and are also disappointed with their BA. It must be our climate or something.

I will be getting my first Partridge Rock in April.

I don't have experience wit the others on your list.

I was checking into getting Blue Andulusion but after researching here on BYC I changed my mind. Sounds like they are very flighty and not friendly. I have heard they can also be difficult to chase back into the coop/run if they get out.

We are lucky to get two small white eggs a week from her. She is flighty and I won't be buying anymore.

My Blue Andalusian is a very pretty girl, and fairly friendly with humans. She does have a bit of an attitude problem though....Inara is easily the smallest pullet in my little flock, and she's also the dominant bird, she doesn't take crap from anyone. She's turning out to be an excellent layer, she hasn't missed a day since she started laying. As much as I like her looks, and find her personality amusing, I'd hesitate to get another one, because of how good she is at getting out of the run. It doesn't have a roof (yet), but its eight feet tall, which is more than enough to keep the other girls in.
Inara will fly about five or six feet up, grab onto the wire with her feet and climb the rest of the way up, then jump/fly down. Then, after she's walked around, eaten some grass and chased some bugs, she goes back into the run.

I have a White rock, Murphy. She is a bug girl, and lays roughly 6 eggs a week with 12 hours light each day. Her eggs are medium in size, and light brown in color.

I raise Golden Lakenvelders and they are wonderful, friendly birds. I get a decent number of eggs and they are huge for the slight build of the bird!

I started with 2 of each of these: Buff Orpingtons- hen/roo
Australopes- hen/hen
Barred Rocks-hen/hen
Silver laced Wyndottes- hen/hen(RIP)
The Buff is my fav personality wise. Lays a light brown egg. Broody
Australopes aren't huggy but lay BIG brown eggs daily like clockwork. They are very thick/big birds
Barred Rocks are the biggest and do OK with the egg production
The SLW is tiny, skiddish, and lays a small lavender/brown egg that is mostly yolk

So out of my experience so far, if you want eggs...Australopes. I am lucky and must be doing something right cause I've been getting 6eggs a day for weeks now! Good Luck!

PS. I made my original decision about breeds by using Hendersons chicken chart and all the lurking I did here!
