Does anyone buy chicken feed in bulk? Where do you get it?
I can buy it directly from the mill at Brookhurst Mill, nearby here. They also sell it bagged, direct to the public and you can save quite a bit by picking it up at the mill. It is just powdered ground grains and what not, not formed into crumbles or pellets, but they seem to eat it okay. It is about a third less or better, than the stuff you buy in the feed store.
Oh Patty where ? I would love to save some cash on my feed. I have to buy several feeds , one for the ducks, the turkeys being raised out and then the hens. Not to mention then the chick starter for my hatchings. A dollar saved = more feed so that would be awesome.
