You dont really need an oven to make pizza, blisschick, I have grilled it before and that was the best ever, hands down! I saw Rachel Ray do it on her show years ago, when she first got started, so I made the pizza dough, rubbed it slittle with the olive oil and cooked it on the grill on low, then put all the toppings on ad finished it, excellent with great grilled flavor - no oven required!! We have not had store made Pizza in so long, I do cheat and by premade doughballs though, and they store in freezer, just take them out morning that you plan to have pizza. The kids get to help. I make a white pizza, with spinich and carmalized onions. Most PIZZA shops dont even know what a white pizza is. I also do the peperoni/sausage/anything else pizza.


Back to the question: No I dont get mad, I usually ask questions and listen to thier answer, I find it amusing. Was told that there are Chickens and Roosters (roosters are not chickens??) brown eggs are FARM eggs white are Store eggs, you need rooster to have eggs(common), and that you will die if you eat a fertilized egg. I let the conversation go till I decide to tell the truth, actually had a hour conversation about chickens this week eduacating the office workers about chickens. It was like playing 20 questions, How do eggs get fertilized? how do they get the stuff through the shell?? the look on thier face when I said it came out fertilized was priceless. I have had the are they dirty/stinky question, but I take that in stride, and answer only in the coop itself and its not bad if you keep it dry. Luckily most are willing to learn that I have dealt with.

The thing about needing a rooster so the hens will lay has always baffled me, along with the idea that you don't need a rooster to have chicks. Most creatures on this planet need a male and a female to reproduce, so why wouldn't chickens?? I guess they're supposed to reproduce through mitosis?

I have a vision of little chicks popping off the hens, like Gremlins. Instant chickens, just add water!

Since this has been brought up more than once. I will clear it up once and for all! I doubt that there are many places, if any, that you can buy eggs for .85 cents a dozen.

I did not make the remark I just repeated it. Someone made that remark to me and my DW when we told them we had bought some chickens for the "ranch". I deeply regret confusing anyone about the price of eggs. To be honest, and to give credit where credit is due the man that said that is an old man and the last time he bought eggs.............they were probably...............you guessed it .85 cents a dozen. Add that to the fact that he was trying to make a point, it is understandable that he would fudge on the price of eggs to make his point!

In conclusion, if there is anyone who has been pushed to the point of depression by my statement, I will gladly invite you down here for a free therapy session. Note: I use the S.S.S. method for predators and the treatment of depression. Disclaimer: I am not board certified in the treatment of depression, so anyone needing therapy does so at their own risk. That being said, come anyway I need the practice!

that sounds like a great pizza and I have put the pizza dough in the freezer before too, just not in a while, hmmm, might do that today...I cannot beielve someone thought they would die from eating a fertilized egg!!! I hear the cant have eggs without a rooster all the time but never heard the death by egg one!
