Mine have eschewed their perfectly good nextboxes, four of them, to lay IN THEIR FEEDER.

We have redneck chicken feeders (kitty litter boxes with flower pot trays), but sheesh. [IMG]

My EE likes to get onto a garage shelf and pretend she's a stuffed chicken.

We had a rooster, banty, when I was growing up that would perch up on a fence post, start crowing, fall asleep for a second right as he was really hitting the high point, his head would drop over a bit and then all of a sudden he'd jerk his head back up and look around funny before jumping back down. [IMG]
He never did get a full crow out for the 6 years we had him.

I though all chickens were goofy. I mean, really, they're chickens! Inherently goofy, right?

I got y'all beat! Several of our girls have decided, periodically, that the area under the table saw is a good place to hide eggs. Nice fresh powdery sawdust, hidden from view for the most part, private and cozy. What could be better??

And yeah, I got PROOF!! [IMG]

More proof... Ya think maybe this is a popular place?

Hey! It looks like a nest box to them I guess! [IMG] Oh, and in case anybody is trying to count beaks in that last pic..there are three girls inside and one more waiting for her turn outside!
