OP makes it sound like doesn't want to take that broody hen's eggs. If that broody hen is nest jumping to sit on eggs or hens are laying in the same nest, then it's easy to take those eggs as they aren't there's anyway.
Flat hand, palm down, dive under, grab the egg(s). Let 'em grumble. I've got the talent after having at least 3 broody hens at any given time lol.
