Does anyone feel this way?

You are not alone. All of us (myself and the three hooligans to whom I gave birth), upon seeing a disorganized feather, fix it. Either by putting it back where it belongs or picking it out. We like our girls neat and tidy.

i like keeping the girls nice also

I do the same, unfortunately I have a couple of scrappy ex-battery hens that have never looked quite right. At least they are worm free now and twice as heavy

I also had a predator attack last Thursday that left the 3 remaining pheasants all tattered looking. ( predator got the other 2 )They are so wild I can barely catch them at night to put them in their new safe "sleep house" let alone adjust feathers. But I figure they are still alive so that says something.

That would be my husband, therfore he is not allowed around them...Can just see it now plucking a poor hen naked cause the feathers are just not right.
