Have you feed this to your chickens? what age did you feed this to them?
 
I give that to mine also in the winter, or if I'm going on vacation. It helps keep them from getting bored.
 
I agree its a winter thing that gives them something to do. If it rains I'd cover it up or it will grow mold which could make your birds sick. Its bug time of year now their cheaper & better for the flock.
 
I also used one this winter, last winter I couldn't find flock block anywhere, but my local feed store had Forage Cakes for chickens and they were a lot smaller. It took my flock of about 30 chickens a good while to finish the one flock block too. I like to try to entertain them in the winter when they spend more time inside getting on eachothers nerves.
 
Thanks everyone. I think I will get one for this next winter. I live in the south so we have short winters, but when we get one its usually pretty bad and the chooks won't be able to come out.
