Does anyone have a good recipe for Sopaipilla?

I tried making them for the first time a few nights ago and instead of getting the fluffy little pillows like I was supposed to I got crackers. LOL I was very disappointed.

I was hoping someone could give me a good recipe and some pointers.

Ok, I've been through a ton of recipes and finally found what I was looking for so I thought I'd share.

Im originally from Denver and only recently moved to California 6 years ago. Neither Northern nor Southern Californians know what sopapillas are! I MISS them! If I can figure out how to do it properly I will make them too! Do you put honey and powdered sugar on them?

I like honey. Almost every Mexican food restaurant I've ever been in have them on the dessert menu. I love them and I'd love to learn to make them at home.
