Does anyone have an EE that looks like this?

I had two EEs but one, my beautiful Skye, was taken by a neighbors roaming dog.
I still have Taka and I’ll post a photo of her tomorrow as I don’t have any recent ones.
Taka is 5 months now.
I’ve never seen EEs that looked like my two, especially Skye. Skye was lost at 4 months.

Here’s Taka at about 3 months I think

Im so sorry people dont mind their animals better.

If I lived near Idaho I would be offering to buy (or rent for breeding) Taka. Or pay out to board a specific roo for a month to shack up with Taka then buy her hatching eggs lol.

This is Gretchen, I got her this spring, she WAS laying a beautiful green egg but has since stopped. She is really sweet.

@ChooksNQuilts, your Skye reminds me a lot of my Copperhead, the hen in my avatar, who was also taken by a predator -my fault. She was my favorite. I created a memorial for her here on BYC that includes a picture of her last egg which I successfully incubated from the refrigerator!
I’m so sorry!
You hatched a chick from her incubated egg!? Wow that’s such a great story!

Unfortunately no.
The dog still roams the neighborhood.
He’s the only neighbor that does that.
We’re in the process of building a 6’ privacy fence but we won’t be able to finish it until spring.
In the meantime we rigged some garden fencing to our chain link to increase the height to 7’.
It’s ugly but at least they’re safe.
Skye and one of my Silver Penciled Rocks, Silver, liked to hop over the chain link to forage on the other side.
Sometimes Taka does it too.
The EE really seem to like roaming unfortunately.

Oh wow that’s quite the compliment lol!
She’s pretty unique.
I haven’t seen another like her yet.
I wonder if she has splash color genes?
It’s interesting because Taka was a dark colored chick.
I had no idea she’d develop so much white.
If she had turned out to be a rooster I think the perfect name would’ve been Blackbeard lol.
Taka means “hawk” in Japanese.
She looked very hawklike as a juvenile.
So what rooster would you put with her?

Gretchen is very beautiful! Do, you know why she stopped laying?

I started my little flock this last spring with an EE, BA and SS, the SS never started laying, I think she may have a neurologic issue as her head tilts a bit. But the EE and BA were laying 5 eggs at least per week, stopped when the days got shorter. I decided to not add extra light during this time to give their little bodies a break. The BA is molting a bit now too.
