Does anyone have any experience buying bulk food

I would buy only whole grains in bulk, and grind them myself when it is time
 
Also, check out this feed first! Read their labels, ask questions, find out mill dates. Try a small amount first, if the data looks good. And do check out local mills too. There are local mills that might have good products, or not. And most will sell mash only, because the equipment necessary to produce pellets and crumbles is expensive.
The one time I tried our (now closed) local mill for chicken feed, it wasn't a good enough product. Worth trying, but a fail.
'Too good to be true' often is..
