Hi Everyone,
Does anybody have experience with donating "extra" eggs to a soup kitchen or others in need? If so, any hurdles to jump to do so? I guess my fear is potential lawsuits over food born illnesses in today's crazy world. Sad that you can be a bad guy for trying to do something good!
Thanks!!!

Hi there,
frow.gif
and welcome to BYC!

It all depends on the laws and the people you are donating to. Out here in no man's land, people are less concerned about food borne illness and would gladly take my eggs. And there are very few if any laws about selling my eggs as well. But it is always worth a try. It might not hurt to look into your local laws just in case you do start donating them so you know what you are up against in case there are problems and such.

Great to have you aboard and enjoy BYC!

Howdy! Simply call the organization you wish to donate the chicken eggs and see what they require as to regulations.
