Does anyone have Marans from breeder: SoCal Marans from bayhorsebonne?

Donna (bayhorsebonne) has done more "above and beyond" type things to help her customers, WAAAAaaayyyyy more, than any breeder I ever heard of. She does care. She cares a LOT that people get good value for their money and sometimes takes it upon herself to rescue people from their own mistakes. I have seen her do this time after time. She cares.

This is not in any way to imply that she will rescue you from yourself ad infinitum, just that she cares, is extremely helpful and exceptionally good hearted lady.

I too have purchased eggs from her,they are due to hatch this saturday.Auction was for 6 eggs,she sent 8.Color was as described in the ad,over a 4 on the Marans egg color chart,but not 8's or 9's either.I did not expect to get extras.I also knew in advance the egg color. Not one egg was broken,excellent packing,and fast shipping.

I picked my chicks up yesterday evening.

A fifth chick ended up hatching. They are sooo cute and running around like little monkeys. I'm not doing so well. I drove 14 hours yesterday round trip to pick them up.

They made the trip just great; fresh as little daisies this morning. I am completely wiped out. But it was worth it. They are so cute.
My other two hens are sitting on 16 eggs right now so if I am lucky I might have even more more chicks running about.
I haven't had any chicks to goof around with since this time last year.

Dang drom! I know what you mean about that drive. I just did a similar one to Oregon and it pooped me out too. Glad to hear you made it fine. Have fun with the new babies! I wanna see some pics please
