I am looking for a incubator to fit in my house and that is better than the styrofoams without breaking the bank!!! If you have one or have used one can you please give your opinion, Thanks in advance,

I just got one. IT has some issues, but nothing you can't overcome. The biggest issue is the temp difference from the top to the bottom. I COULD put 45 eggs in there, in egg cartons, but I think it would restrict airflow too much. The bottom eggs would never get warm enough, and the top would cook.

I have my first batch in it right now. I will keep you updated.

I just got mine this week and i set my Thailand eggs! It's looks like it should hatch my eggs. The only thing i get lazy doing is hand turning the eggs 5 times a day. I'll let you know how it turns out in a couple weeks when my chicks hatch. Here's the link to the old post of the reptipro5000 i looked at before buying mine

Have it, its my last choice hatcher for when all others are full. Bought mine at thinkgeek.com.

Don't trust the display, and make sure you have a good thermometer. Its not really an incubator its actually a made in China cooler warmer fridge so it has some issues to overcome if used as an incubator.

I put 15 eggs in it--set in egg cartons. IT only had 1 shelf, so I made a second. Then I tilt the eggs instead of turning. The carton rests on shelf #1, which is only "hooked in" on one side. The other side sits on shelf #2. I have a brick in there to prevent any sudden "drops".

o\\ /o Not quite at that angle...but you get the idea.

Thanks! And after reading the other blog that Unek55 told me about I think I want to try it... I have had it with my styrofoam ones!! 32 eggs in one right now that were supposed to hatch on the 15th and still nothing!!! I would so love higher hatch rates...But can't afford the expensive bators!!
Thanks lareePQG for the little diagram!!
