Has anyone ever had these before? My dh got them at the feed store, thinking they were a heritage breed. From what I have researched, they are mostly like one, but I haven't seen it listed as such. Any information regarding them would be welcome.
Thanks
Rachel

Rio Grandes are a wild breed. I have never heard of them being a heritage...they are more a gamebird.
Good Luck with them!

They will probably be the same with the chickens as the Royal Palms. I have never raised Wild Turkeys either. I only know of people that have them. I plan to have some when I get my own place up and going. The toms will probably have small fights just like roosters until they establish who's who. But I would keep turkeys seperate from chickens unless free ranging. And if you do free range I wouldnt free range wilds. I doubt they will come back but you never know really.
Good Luck!
