Greetings, this is my first post.

I have a 3yo Slate Heritage Turkey that has been limping for the last month. Sometimes a little and sometimes a lot.

Yesterday his foot became inverted as if he was walking on his knuckles. His bones seem intact and he does not respond as if to pain when the foot is manipulated.

We made a makeshift brace for him and we have an appointment w an avian vet next week.

Has anyone seen this condition before.

Background of how he might have been injured.
1. He is about 30 lbs and could get hurt flying off the roost.
2. He is frenemies with another Tom and it is breeding season so they have kung fu spats from time to time.

Most adult toms that develop a limp is due to a bad landing from the roost. While the limp may manifest itself as appearing to be a foot problem, it is more often a hip injury.
