Does anyone have suggestion on Showmanship breeds?

I have a relative that needs a bird for showmanship she is 12 years old and has just started showing. She has polish large fowl and loves them very much but we were looking for a smaller breed that’s easier to handle. She started practicing but the bird was just to heavy and I thought that maybe a smaller breed that lives a long time. So do you guys have any suggestions on some breeds or bantams?

d'Uccles and silkies as well might be good. I have two silkies who we have had for six years, probably two years old when we got them. Who knows!

I think it all comes down with how you raise them, and the individual bird that affects how long they live.

It all depends upon how clean you keep your pens. I have a friend whose daughter has done extremely well at shows with her cochins, but they maintain high husbandry standards.
