Does anyone know cool treats for the heat

I know that summer is just around the corner
And hydration is a huge thing for chickens
I need some treats for my chickens to be
able to cool down pictures would be great
if you had them

Mine love cold grapes.

Frozen grapes, corn and peaches are a hit. Melon is also great!

Mine usually get corn cobs and watermelon but sometimes I give them fruit, veggies or seeds(like BOSS)frozen in ice. I will either freeze a little water in a bundt pan or plastic soda bottle put in some fruit and veggies and fill with water, finish freezing and if its a plastic bottle I just cut it open and give it to them. If its a pan I set it in water to defrost a bit once its loose I toss it to them and they peck at it throughout the day.

Any cold leftovers work well too!

If you are battling the heat just keep out water (lots of spots and in the shade) and then make shade in a breezy spot.

You could bring them in the house a fan them by hand but that might be a little much...or not.

It hasn't gotten hot enough to need these yet, but I made up some stuff for when it does.

-Ice cubes with peas/carrots or mango
-Frozen watermelon slices
-A small rubber feed pan with strawberries and bananas

I also have a large rubber feed pan I plan on filling with plain water and putting the ice block out for the girls to lean up against. The rubber pans are nice because the ice blocks pop right out of them.

I've heard people say they use frozen water bottles or buckets and the chickens will sit down on top or next to them. Not exactly a treat, but a good way to cool down.
