Does anyone know how to remove an egg turner motor?
My old one gave out and stopped turning. My new one arrived today but not sure how to remove the original of the plastic holder. I don’t see any screws to remove it from the side posts.

Looking at the old one, I pretty much make out that it is attached with rivets instead of screws. Those you would have to remove, and not all that difficult. Use a drill to drill them out. Start with a small size , and then progress to next size up.
If I was holding it in my hand, I would easily determine the drill size,,,,,,,, but I'm not there. Be careful not to damage/break the plastic holder. Take your time, and be patient.
Start with a 1/8 inch drill, and then try 3/16 inch.
You will need appropriate size screws, or rather bolts. that have a nut on it to fasten to your plastic bracket.

I circled in red which rivets to drill out.

This is what you will need size appropriate. You may need to visit hardware store, and take part with you. They will sell you the correct size.
If you don't have drill, then visit hardware store and ask for help..

Ah Thank you so much it worked! I just so happen to have the perfect size bolts and nuts laying around in our cabinet to fit. I also noticed the shaft was larger on the new motor so I had to modify a certain cut to fit the existing arm that moves the tray. But it works and all 23 eggs are getting turned again. It sure beats turning them manually.!
I can’t believe the great knowledge of information I receive from all you wonderful chicken owners! This is my second batch of eggs. My first batch 25 hatched out of 28.
Thank you! Thank you!
