I, to, let my chickens and goats hang out with each other. I do feed them seperate (in seperate areas) and they have seperate housing.
One day, before the seperation fence went up, I fought 3 goats that were trying to get to my chicken feed. Needless to say they won.
For the seperation fence, I use a chain link dog kennel stretched out almost straight. Works for us.
