Does anyone know of a reputable poultry lab near Houston, Texas to send fecal matter/specimen?

TAMU has a few labs in TX. I think the one in Gonzales (on IH-10) is closest to Houston. Look at the top of the webpage for locations:

I believe there is an independent testing lab in Allen, up near DFW, too. You'd need to google that one. If I have the info I'll post here.

Time is always of the essence, but if possible, I wouldn't try to send anything on a Friday, unless you can confirm someone is available at the lab to pick up specimens over the weekend. Especially with the heat!

It is best to take a fecal sample in that is fresh. Have you tried calling local vets to see if they will do a fecal float test? My local vet will do one as a favor since I am a long term customer, but charges about $45. Most vets are prevented from doing things or prescribing medication unless they see the patient.

With chickens, most people will go ahead and treat for most types of worms at least once or twice a year. Valbazen is very good, and SafeGuard paste or liquid goat wormer are common ones. Let me know if you need dosages.
