Does anyone know the species of this duck?

Nope. just all the normal duck care info. The diaper harness is a great idea, but a tad expensive. I have a handicapped duck (had a stroke the day after he hatched) and I would love to have one to bring him in, but mom would freak out!

wow! I did not know there was so much dedication to keeping ducks and geese in the house. It looks like it is time to get Squeaky some accessories. Thank you guys and gals for all your input!!

She looks a lot like my khaki Janet

Diaper harnesses can def get expensive, but luckily your ducky is full grown and the woman Nancy who makes them specially fits them to your duck, and if it doesn't fit, you can send it back and she'll fix it. She's really nice. She's made me 3 harnesses, though i make my own now since i can sew. Mine never come out as good as hers but they work. I def reccommend a harness if you keep a duck inside. It allows them to run around and explore more. Also, you can attach a leash to it if oyu want to let a duck outside (esp in a small back yard, or at a park if you live in a city and don't have a backyard). It keeps tabs on them while allowing them to be ducky. I keep four ducks inside, most of the day, so if you have any questions, concerns or wonderments, go ahead and pm me! I've porbably experienced it. lol.

Squeaky is my prized duck. I think she even has more personality than my turtles. Usually when she is in the house for the winter I have her in a cage, and when I get home from school, I usually put her in the sink so she can play in the water. On days that I can't do that, I spray her down with a spray bottle so she can clean herself. I try my best to keep her happy. I think starting in the spring I will expand her area in the back yard. These things can sometimes be hard to do, especially when you are in college. Squeaky is indeed a good looking duck. Hey wifezilla, your ducks look good too!!

Thanks!

They are pretty spoiled. Not as spoiled as Netties

but they have a good life.

You know, the more I look at your duck the more I think she is a khaki x buff orpington. The low hanging butt, the shape of the neck, the crop that puffs out a bit...she looks like Lana but with Janet's coloring.
