Does anyone know this chicken breed?

Looks like a mixed breed cockerel. Maybe some silkie or Easter egger in the mix.

Here it is next to our cockerel. It doesn't crow unlike the other one, so I am stumped if it could be a pullet. But then the tail feathers look so blue.

It’s definitely a cockerel. Most likely a subordinate hence the lack of crowing

Looks to be some sort of mixed breed. No chance at being a pullet. He has male pointed hackle and saddle feathers coming in and those rusty red shoulders are a masculine trait. Not all birds mature at the same rate so it could take him longer to start crowing. Those lower in the hierarchy also may not crow as much because the top roosters will bully them.

I spotted him crowing today! Thanks everyone. He is quite aggressive and injured my hand yesterday so I'm guessing he is the dominant one after all.

More likely he thinks you’re part of the pecking order and by dominating you he can get to the top.
