Thank you v much!Lovely mixed breed.
~Alex
He is my biggest chicken; about a foot and a half! How big is he? There's not really much in the photo for a good sense of scale. With that comb, white earlobes, etc he looks an awful lot like a Sicilian buttercup/mix
Thank you!Mixed breed cock.
Thank you, I definitely am!He is beautiful, you should be happy he so pretty and nice as well!
Thanks! This - perhaps with high % Redcap DNA.
Thank you, v much appreciated! The split comb is unique to buttercups. They also have the white ear. But the black feathers are something else - whatever he's mixed with. He's beautiful
And doesn't he know it!He is SO handsome !
Thank you!Mixed breed
thank you! Can't help you with breed identity, but just wanted to say, he's absolutely stunning!
Thank you very much! That is an amazing rooster!! He's SO PRETTY!!!! I agree with the people saying that he might be part Sicilian Buttercup. Still a mixed breed though.![]()
I always thought that it was a rose comb more than a v comb, but that was most likely because I had never seen a v shaped comb and just never thought of it! Thanks for the information! The buttercup comb can also be achieved when you cross a 'two prong' combed breed (like La Fleche or Polish) with a single comb breed. Does look like there's some rose combed breed in the mix too. Definitely the most interesting comb I have ever seen. Lovely bird!

Thanks!
