Does anyone know what I can do with an unexpected rooster in the Lehigh valley, PA ?

hello, I live in the Lehigh valley , PA and I was supposed to have 5 hens, but we just found out the one is a rooster. He is a black and white Easter egger 4 months old. They have become my pets, so I feel horrible giving him away to somewhere that won't care s out him but we really didn't want any roosters just hens for eggs. Please let me know any suggestions or if you are interested in him! I can send pics.

Search for "rooster collar" if crowing is a concern ...

Since he/they are "pets" ... You probably don't want to invite him to "dinner" ...

Advertise on someplace like Craig's List ...

Best of luck to you! I'm facing the same problem. I have a nice 11-week old australorp x Easter egger rooster and can't find a home for him. I've advertised here (on BYC) and on Craigslist, offering him for free, but no takers. He may be coming to dinner very soon.

Thank you. That's good to know, as there are always cockerels to re-home when a new batch of chicks are hatched out. Are you located in PA? If so, in which county?
