does anyone know what kind of wattage i need for 2 ducklings or 3

this is the person ive been talking to who recommended the food and other stuff said

"It's the temp that matters, for the first week of life they need a spot about 90 degrees that they can both get under and get away from it they get too hot. Then lower the temp by 5 degrees a week. So put a thermometer under your light to monitor the temp. After 3 weeks you can start using heat part time to wean them off."

Most important is the numbers are just guidelines. Watch how the ducks behave. Are They huddled under the lamp, probably to cold, are they sitting far away, probably to hot.

ok so basically lets say that on the i get my chicks on the 6th the whole week is 90 degrees and the next week which would be the 13th, on that day i reduce it by 5 degree and continue untill its an adult

K so ducklings are not crazy about heat for long if they are just hatched 90°-92°F for 3days and then 85°-90° for 4-7days then reduce 5° every week till at ambient

because i got this information 2 days ago

"Your ducklings should be brooded, staring at 90 degrees the first day, and then you can lower the temperature 7 degrees per week (one degree/day) until they are feathered out and ready to go outside.

This is a far faster drop in temperature than for baby chicks, which is one big reason I don't like to brood them together.

Rule of Thumb Temperature Chart

1st week 90 - 84 F
2nd week 83 - 77 F
3rd week 76 - 70 F
4th week 69 - 63 F
5th week 62 - 56 F
6th week 55 F"
