does anyone know what this is? It came out of Old English Game Bantam Hen

Although she may be acting normal, chickens are the masters of hiding things. There still may be a serious issue internally in her which I highly believe there is.

She has never had this problem before, and after watching a very informative video, I am almost positive that it is a follicle. I also looked up images and it looks exactly like a follicle. I have had her for 7 years now and had never had any problems. I will be keeping a close eye on her though.

I’m really sorry about how your hen is! It might be a lash egg? Your hen is really old and has some reproductive issues clearly, so it may be the end of the tunnel for her sadly. Unfortunately, when it’s a reproductive issue it is very hard to treat. I hope for the best for your hen. Could you take her to the vet?

I think that it is most likely a follicle.

Your welcome. I am happy to say that Henny-Penny is back to laying normal eggs. She only lays every once in a while but I don’t mind.

Thank you every one for your help. Henny-Penny is now back to normal, she is laying normal eggs. She only lays every once in a while but I don’t mind. She is old, happy, and enjoying being cuddled, running around, sun bathing, and eating and drinking, as well as eating her treats.
