Or even plans to make one? That video doesn't have that feeder. :idunno

Pity. It's really nifty and would hold a lot of feed.
It is indeed.

But I don't have an issue with feed amounts as I've got a feeder that holds 45lbs of feed, one that hold 60lbs of feed, & a 10lb feeder.

But also a 7lb feeder I use for chicks that I move outside.

We just have the PVC tube ones, which we like, but we only had 4 hens. I now have 7 hens and I need something more. Plus, they seem to like treating from a trough and I like the automatic cover, to keep mice out.

We got cats that take care of mice.

A 30lb - 40lb feeder may do your 7 hens good. May last a week with them.

That is so clever. I'm sure that if you can't figure out how it is made, someone else can. Your local store who sells PVC pipe probably has someone who could tell you what you need and how to put it together.

This is very close to one of the first designs I ever came up with back in 2011 but it failed spectacularly. I couldn't keep the water from leaking into the feed and the hens scratched out the feed even after I tried adding a half inch wide lip protruding into the feeder.

The only part that I retained was the idea of a distant and narrow treadle.

Adding the jugs with extra feed was a good idea though, I didn't try that due to the other problems.
