Im having a hell of a time finding organic turkey starter. I get the weirdest looks when I ask for it at different stores. I thought raising yourself and your animals organically was becoming cool?!

I would never be able to mix my own food, would I? I just feel guilty feeding these guys soybeans (and Im a vegetarian! Ha!) and corn. I live where its cold and wintery for a while so they wont be able to forage for quite a bit of the year. I NEED a good food for them becuse of this.

You could try all your local feed mills, anyone who does custom milling.

Or buy organic chicken starter and do some research on how to up the protein by adding organic soy, meat meal, etc.

I had a devil of a time just finding NON-MEDICATED turkey starter, so I feel your pain.

Have given up on organic anything around here, even if I could afford it.

Not sure how old your turkeys are but once ours were a little bigger they would eat just about any garden vegetable I could find they do prefer I run them through a food processor but if you have a option to do a garden or have friends that do ask for the left over garden scraps. Compared to chickens the turkeys actually seem much more fond of the greens where as the turkeys like the bugs and worms.
