I can't seem to find any auction in montana that sell poultry. I have only found cattle auctions. I was just wondering if anyone has had good luck at auctions and if it would be worth my time to go to somewhere like washington to sell a couple of nice turkeys.

Here in MO, they sell poultry at the monthly sheep & goat auction. You might try calling the auction barns, and ask them if they have a time they sell poultry. Also try any horse sale barns. I've seen turkeys bring some good prices at the auctions. Good luck!

True, there is never any guarantee with an auction. I've seen turkey hens bring anywhere from $25 to $95 this year. There are a lot of factors that influence price. Sometimes you make out like a bandit, and others, you get killed on price.

Hey thanks, I looked at the local auction houses website and they never said anything about poultry, but there were dates for horse, cattle, and sheep, sso i'll call and ask if they will auction some turkeys.
