Does Anyone Set "By the Moon"?

I just set every Tuesday. That is a pretty interesting chart though, I would love to see someone set hatches by that chart and see if there is a difference.

I won't change my hatch plan with shipped eggs, but I always keep it in mind and note what phase the moon was in during setting and hatching. I can't say whether I have noticed any differences, yet.

I just set 35 chicken egg mixed breeds on April 12. These eggs were given to me to hatch for a friend of mine.
Did you set by the moon on March 25th or this last weekend April 12 or 13th?

I dont think that setting by the moon is supposed to increase hatch rate. I think that it is supposed make chicks healthier and grow faster. I don't know if any of it is true, but it's a fun experiment.

Old Farmers Almanac:
Those born under a waxing Moon, in the fruitful signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, are healthier and mature faster. Another saying from them also says: Set eggs to hatch on the Moon's increase, but not if a south wind blows.
