Does Anyone Show there Chickens Anymore

I am retired from the post office and while there worked everywhere from the Postmaster's office to delivering mail to the mail processing center to the most lowly clerks job. Yes, they could indeed die in transit through no fault of the postal workers. But, I don't think the post office is going to quit shipping live chickens any time soon. They have to, they are mandated by the government and no one else really does. Because it's considered high risk and not profitable enough.

But yes, I am a beginner but know a couple of breeders that have really nice stock who are unfortunately too far away to drive to, unless I wanted to drive for a week. And I know that I'm not the only one in this predicament. I can't find LF Orpingtons or Delawares either anywhere close. And those are the breeds I want. I'll not "settle" for another just because there is a breeder that claims to have nice birds close. I want good birds, and I want the breeder to have a reputation, at least with people that know what they're talking about. Should I find such in driving distance then I'll scrape it together, even if if takes a couple of months to do so.
