Does anyone speak "chicken"?

Awww it's experience! I got so used to my baby chicks cries that my husband would go, "Your baby misses you." and I'd listen and go, "No she's out of water." and sure enough, no water!

I've even learned to speak it! I can get my hens to flock towards me with a special call, they know the food call, the pats call, the 'just hang around' call.

Time time time and a little insanity is all it takes.

Every chicken with whom I develop a more affectionate bond than with the rest of the flock has a special "chiiiirrrrrrrr-up" sound upon approaching me, or seeing me as I approach it when it's resting, or otherwise not walking around.

I don't know if it's a cheery "Hello, big person," or a cleverly disguised warning for the others, such as "Here, let me distract her while you all hide the explosives."

I just think it's adorable.
