Does anyone use Alpine Dust?

I recently met and spoke with a pest control company representative who said he uses Alpine Dust in his poultry house to keep down any fleas or lice or any kind of harmful bugs and that it has worked for him really well over the years. He also spreads lime (sp?) on the floor of his coop and in their run.

Has anyone had any experience with using either or both lime and/or Alpine Dust for their peafowl pens?

We use ag lime on the runs to control cocci before and after the young birds go in. We sprinkle it down and water it in.

Do you use it for the adults too? Not necessarily for cocci since adults should be immune by that time, but for any other reasons?

We have used it in a muddy coop, to help dry it out, and then we added sand on top of it to raise the floor.
