Does Anyone Use Rolling Nest Boxes Outside

And when I say outside, I mean totally separate from the coop? I have six hens who are eating eggs and I have tried many solutions to no avail. I'm wondering if getting metal, front collection rolling nest boxes and putting them in the run will work. The run is fully enclosed chain link, including the top.

Has anyone ever done this or can you think of a good reason NOT to do it? And does anyone have a good suggestion for which company to buy these from?

I had some chickens that were eatings eggs this fall. We got ceramic eggs and put them where the chickens normally lay there eggs and the egg eating stopped. Apparently trying to crack a ceramic eggs is uncomfortable and they quit. I had eggs again withing one day after putting out the ceramic eggs. I had to put little x'es on the ceramic eggs because they are hard to tell from real eggs.
