Where is the Learning Center? I also use the search...but sometimes I can't quite understand the Q & A so I need to ask the same question in my own way.

I use it a lot too for various things and have found it very useful. Actually, it is the first place I check when I have a question. I also always check it before I post a new thread, or at least check it as well as I can. I don't always have time to scroll through hundreds of pages.

Sometimes someone might be in a panic and just want an answer quick. People on here are kind enough to give you an answer right away.

Also, maybe some who are new don't realize the amount of info you can find by searching.

Maybe some want personal support which is always given in abundance here.

OK, I may be guilty of posting too quickly sometimes too

but have gotten to know some very kind folks here that way.

I use it constantly! I think for some folks, even though they search, they think their situation is unique.

(Jean, you crack me up. BTW, my Ameraucana has green legs...does this mean it's not an Ameraucana?

I do use the search function, but please remember that BYC is getting a ton of new members, and it does take time to become familiar with all the features this site has to offer. And if the question is a general one, they are never gonna find it searching for a word like "broody".

Search works really well when people who start posts use the good informative title. It really does help others later with a similar circumstance or question. Think about this when you start a new thread and how it will help others to find it later.

I try to search before I ask, but I have trouble finding stuff with the search. For example yesterday I wanted to make Amish white bread, and I had bookmarked the recipe from a thread on here, but I bookmarked it on my laptop and the charger is broken. So I thought I would just search for it, find it easily, and that would be that. Except, after searching and searching and searching it did not come up. Finally I found it when searching for 'bread machine recipes' and it was buried at the end of another thread. The exact words in the post are 'Amish white bread'. So why didn't that come up when I searched for Amish white bread?

And the other day I searched for Dekalb Amberlink, and nothing really came up. So I posted, and someone replied with the link to a thread all about Dekalb Amberlink with tons of info. Why didn't that come when I searched?? It was exactly what I had searched for, but I didn't find it, and I promise I'm not stupid enough to not know how to use a basic search engine!

I love to search and find answers, but maybe other people are having the same problem I am--sometimes the search doesn't give you the results!
