Does anyone what this is

Its on the side of my hens beak been there a few day. I was told its a abscessed on the side of her beak. Im giving her antibiotics in the water. Is there anything else i should know about it ir what it could be.

She eating and drinking fine not bothering her.

It appears to be canker. Treatment is Metronidazole (sold as Fishzole online) give one 250mg tablet orally once a day for 5 days. If in fact it's canker, your bird will be a carrier and is contageous. You can add 1/8 teaspoon acidified copper sulfate per gallon of water for 3 days straight once a month to keep it in check.

Can i get the acidfied from the feed store.

I got powder Metronidazole to go in the water but im just administion to them by dropper because it easier and im don't waste it been outside in the sun, is not good for antibiotics right?

I didn't it in there water and left it outside and it turned orange was afraid it would get them sick. So im trying the other way.


Should i treat all my chickens them because they have been exposed to it ?

And i can't separate her from my flock i have no place to split them up
