Does Diatomaceous Earth kill all the good bacteria, yeasts and microbes also?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find it.

So does the Diatomaceous Earth kill all the beneficial bacteria, yeasts, good microbes and other organisms that keep a healthy balance in their environment as well as the bad ones?

If it does then is it really a good idea to be using in in the soil for dust baths, or in the deep litter method or even for worming?

To my knowledge, diatomaceous earth is not anti-microbial. It kills arthropods by slicing them into tiny pieces with its knife-like edges. It is not a chemical remedy, to my understanding. Should have no effect on something as small as a bacteria.
