I only have a few chickens..... 2 buffs (1 is broody), 1 polish,1 silky. Well, they haven't given me a egg in over a week!

I did notice they are eating less. With this heat who can blame them. They are eating though. Everybody seems happy.....just no eggs....

In case this helps I have a polish roo in with them & they are on layer feed.

Yes heat can decrease or even completely stop laying.
I am actually wishing that it would affect my girls. They are laying like gangbusters in 100 degree heat and I feel bad for them. I don't need eggs at the expense of their health.

I noticed my birds went from 6-10 a day to 1-3 a day.......

So I guess heat does affect them. Its been in the 80's and 90's no rain either..
